Spatial Temporal Markup Language (STML)

A standard data representation format is required which enables describing the evolution of spatial and numeric properties over time. The main advantage of such a format is that data is represented in a uniform and consistent manner which facilitates exchange of data sets and integration of software tools.

The Spatial Temporal Markup Language (STML) represents our attempt to standardise the representation of spatio-temporal time series data.

The latest release of the Spatial Temporal Markup Language is Level 1 Version 1.
